Does it matter? it will be outdatet in no time. Buy a player with max Gb, maximum life on the batteries. The sound quality should be there of course, but then how much do you need when you're on a bus or whereever you use the player.

I'd go for a Sony or an Ipod. If I should choose between the two, I'd go for the Sony because it doesn't limit your options on formats etc as the Ipod does.
